Combat Shooting League
The Combat Pistol Competition is starting another session.
We will be start the league on January 11th, 7:00 pm
and will meet every other Wednesday.
January 2005 Combat League dates:
Wednesday: 11th and 25th, 7:00 pm
February 2005:
Wednesday: 8th and 22nd., 7:00 pm

I went to the new indoor range at Dean’s Gun’s in St. Joe Tuesday night and can say it is the best range I have seen in several years. Actually 3 ranges in one, two 5 lane ranges and #3 is a combat house. They have combat shoots on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7pm. You shoot 4 courses, all different, some you see ahead of time, some are a surprise. They shoot for time, a miss adds 2 seconds and a hostage is 10 seconds added on. They use both range one as a combat course and range three which is a permanent combat house, move walls around, have moving targets, hostages, steel plates, etc. I am interested in getting some of you who like to shoot to go once in awhile, it costs $10 for the night to shoot these events and is a blast. It’s really a good time plus it keeps your skills in shape. You get used to shooting at a typical range and skills can decrease, but at this range, you have to identify your target and will be moving as in real life scenarios. You will be shooting on the move, through car doors, windshields, doorways, and since it is steel lined, you shoot in 3 directions, not just down range.
